Seminar Discuses Plan for Dealing with Sexual Violence on Children |

Today (26th February), the Dom Helder Camara Centre for Study and Social Action (Cendhec) will be bringing together organisations from the field of social society to hold a preparatory seminar to review the Pernambuco, Recife Municipal Plan for Dealing with Sexual Violence on Children and Adolescents. The event will run from 8:00a.m. to 5:00p.m., in the Cendhec Auditorium, in the Madalena District and is part of the works of the Project for Attending Child and Adolescent Victims of Domestic and Sexual Violence, which is supported by the UNESCO Criança Esperança Project.
This Municipal Plan, elaborated with the participation of government and non-government representatives, was approved by Resolution Nº 033/2006 of the City of Recife’s Municipal Council for the Defense and Promotion of the Rights of Children and Adolescents (Comdica). It is one more instrument for guiding the municipal works for dealing with sexual violence on children and adolescents.
